1. Never design fully flash websites or site that rely heavily on java script, as flash website aren’t very S.E.O and search engine spider friendly. Flash websites are very difficult to index if at all and search engine spiders cannot follow your internal links as they are not in HTML format. Most major S.E.O firms will advise you to have the website redesigned which as you know can be truly costly. For future reference HTML, DHTML and PHP are all valid SEO friendly programming Languages. 2. When writing a press release, always remember to include your keywords in the form of anchor text. The best press release syndication service has an SEO Package, personally I use PR Web it has a great syndication network and it allows for some very high quality back links through its SEO VISIBILITY and MEDIA VISIBILITY Packages. This will cost about $200 - $360 but is well worth it. 3. Posting to forums and blogs that are frequently indexed can result in faster indexing of your website in the top 2 search engines. My sites are normally indexed within a week or two of making a post to the big ticket forums. Perform a search for the top forum in your website’s category or niche, this is done by the command forum: example (rollerblading) in either the Google or Yahoo search engine I also use the www.dofollowforums.com. Become a member of the top forum that is listed; this forum is listed highly because most likely it is indexed daily. Make a post or two to this forum. Remember to include your site’s URL and anchor text in your member’s profile and in your signature, this is very important as most forums doesn’t allow you to post URLs or may require you to make a certain amount of post before doing so. Another tip is to simply submit a sitemap to the Google index. 4. As you know back links are essential to your website’s Page Rank and link popularity, one common mistake in acquiring back links from say a forum or maybe a blog post with the anchor click here as click here is not a valid keyword that is relevant to your website you should always point to you website with keyword related to you website’s content (best practice is to include keywords that are locate in your landing pages title tag). For example if my keyword is live marketing chat then my anchor text should look like this, live marketing chat. 5. Online classifieds such as Craig’s List and kijiji also work similar to blogs and forums as the are indexed daily and are a great source of valid back links, remember to include to your URL in you classifieds post. Bonus: Classified ads and Social Networks: Trust me Craig’s List, kijiji, Squidoo, are all indexed on a daily basis so having a profile or an ad on These sites are a good way to keep you sites in the good graces of search engines. I have a link in my to MySpace profile. That is an easy way to Get a page rank 4 or better linking to you website lets just say the more Friends the better your page rank, and a little know fact is that myspace links are do follow links. Note: Follow these steps and please contribute to the networking and social websites no one likes a spammer. |
